Monitoring the system operating hours (or power-on hours) with hourmeter

Abstract

The command 'hm' displays the operating hours (or power-on hours) of your hardware.
For further information about the command read the (included) manpage.

Please note that hourmeter is NOT uptime:

UPTIME(1) Tell how long the system has been running since LAST REBOOT.
HOURMETER(1)
Tell the total amount of operating-hours the hardware has been running since first INSTALLATION.
